Richmond does First Fridays. Grayson, Kentucky, does Final Fridays. And by Grayson, I mean the small local art center where my partner and I are members (Grayson Gallery & Art Center). Each month they host a themed show on the last Friday. They give out a few awards and have live music and food. It’s a lovely inclusive group dedicated to promoting art with all the enthusiasm they can muster. We love it.
We’ve submitted work to the last three months. So far I’ve won two different awards, sold three pieces of art and photos of my partner’s work have been included in the newspaper article about the show for the three months running. They seem to like us here.
She finished the memory clone (Anamnesis) she’s been working on and took it along to play. I started a few conversations.
We made a friend over a piece of art we were thinking of buying.
