My name is Bruce Hartman. I am an artist living and working in mountains of Northeast Kentucky.
I have over 30 years of experience as a creative professional, working as a graphic designer, stage/set designer, and photographer. My art is held in collections around the world.
I work primarily in the mediums of collage and photography where I leverage an evolving visual vocabulary extracted from discarded and recycled materials and environments. My work ranges from abstract color and form studies, to political commentary, dad jokes, and visual haiku.
Ultimately, my goal is to express the love, fear, and hope I have for the people around me, our world as a whole, and my place in it.
This site is an ongoing stream-of-consciousness archive of my work. It’s exhaustive, if not exhausting.
